This guide documents how to configure and delete workspaces in Adverity.
Introduction
Configure your workspaces in the workspace settings page. The available settings differ depending on the area of Adverity in which you are working.

Deleting workspaces in Adverity
Before you can delete a workspace in Adverity, you must delete or move the following objects from the workspace:

Child workspaces
To delete a workspace in Adverity, follow these steps:

Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the , click Administration.

In the Settings.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and then click Delete.

In the Are you sure? page, a list of items belonging to the workspace is displayed. These items are deleted with the workspace. To proceed and delete the workspace, click Yes, I'm sure.
As a result, the workspace and all the related items are deleted.
Deleting workspaces in Explore & Present
When you delete a workspace from Explore & Present, all the data and objects within the workspace are also deleted. For a full list of what is contained in your workspace in Explore & Present, view the workspace dependencies. For more information on workspace dependencies, see Viewing workspace dependencies.
To delete a workspace from Explore & Present, follow these steps:

In the Explore and select the workspace to be deleted.

In the Delete Workspace {NAME}. For example, if the name of the workspace group to be deleted is ACME, the option in the is Delete Workspace ACME.

Click Delete.

In the confirmation pop-up, click OK.
As a result, Adverity runs a validation check on the workspace, and if all the validation checks pass, the workspace is scheduled for deletion.
Advanced workspace settings in Adverity
To configure the advanced settings for a workspace in Adverity, follow these steps:

Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the , click Administration.

Logo
This section allows you to update the logo of your workspace. For more information, see Adding a logo in Adverity.
Grace Period
The grace period determines how long data extracts that are marked for deletion are stored in Adverity before being permanently deleted. By default, data extracts to be deleted are kept for 30 days and are then deleted. To extend or reduce this grace period, fill in the following fields:

Override default grace period

Select this checkbox to enable the Grace period field.

Grace period

Enter the new number of days for the grace period.
Shared workspaces in Explore & Present
A shared workspace in Explore allows all users to see the data contained within the workspace. However, users must have the correct access rights to view the data in a shared workspace. The access rights are determined by the role to which the user is assigned. For more information on user roles, see Changing user permissions in Explore & Present.
To make a workspace a shared workspace, follow these steps:

In the Explore and select the workspace to turn into a shared workspace.

Select the Share data? checkbox.

Click Update.
