Configuring transfer settings

This reference explains how to configure transfer settings.

Setting the default destination for a workspace

Set a default destination for a workspace to transfer all data fetched from newly created datastreams to the default destination. The default destination for a workspace is automatically assigned to and enabled for all new datastreams that you create in this workspace.

To set the default destination for a workspace, follow these steps:

  1. Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the platform navigation menu, click Administration.

  2. In the left navigation panel, click Settings.

  3. In the Default Destination field, select the destination.

Enabling data transfer from a datastream to a destination

To enable data transfer from a datastream to a destination, follow these steps:

  1. Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the platform navigation menu, click Datastreams.

  1. Select the chosen datastream.

  1. In the list in the Destinations section, find the chosen destination, and enable the toggle.

  2. In the All tasks tab, find the top element, and click Requeue for import on the right.

Configuring transfer settings for a datastream

Configure transfer settings for a datastream to specify the following:

  • Specify the data table in the destination to which Adverity transfers the data from the datastream.

  • Specify when Adverity overwrites data stored in the destination.

To configure transfer settings for a datastream, follow these steps:

  1. Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the platform navigation menu, click Datastreams.

  1. Select the chosen datastream.

  1. In the Destinations section, find the chosen destination in the list, and click on the right.

  2. Click Destination settings.

The transfer settings depend on the destination to which you transfer data. For more information, see the guide specific to the destination.

Viewing transfer settings related to a destination

To get an overview of all transfer settings configured for the datastreams which transfer data to the destination, follow these steps:

  1. Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the platform navigation menu, click Destinations.

  2. Click the destination in the list.
