Embedding dashboards and widgets in Microsoft PowerPoint

This guide explains how to embed dashboards and widgets in Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

Prerequisites

Before you complete the procedure in this guide, perform all of the following actions:

  • Create a dashboard or a widget in Explore & Present that you are ready to present and share with others.

  • Install Microsoft PowerPoint 2013, 2016, or 365.

  • Install the Web Viewer add-on from the Microsoft Office Store.

Embedding a dashboard

To embed a dashboard in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, follow these steps:

  1. In the platform navigation menu, click Present.

  2. Select the workspace you work with in Explore & Present.

  1. Click the dashboard.

  2. Click Dashboard sharing.

  1. In the Public link section, enable the toggle.

  2. Click Copy to copy the link to the dashboard.

  1. Open the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.

  2. Go to the slide where you want to embed the dashboard.

  3. In the Insert tab, click My Add-ins > Web Viewer.

  4. In the URL field, paste the link of the dashboard.

Embedding a widget

To embed a widget in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, follow these steps:

  1. In the platform navigation menu, click Present.

  2. Select the workspace you work with in Explore & Present.

  3. Click the dashboard which contains the widget.

  4. Hold the pointer over a widget, and then click Widget actions.

  5. Click Share.

  6. Copy the URL.

  1. Open the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.

  2. Go to the slide where you want to embed the widget.

  3. In the Insert tab, click My Add-ins > Web Viewer.

  4. In the URL field, paste the link of the widget.
