Collecting data from Twitter Engagements
Follow this guide to collect data from Twitter Engagements and preview the data.
Understanding datastreams and s
When you connect to Twitter Engagements through Adverity, you authorize Adverity to access your account. Adverity stores this authorization information in an , and stores the data collection configuration in a datastream.
You can create several datastreams using the same . The datastreams collect information from the same source, with the same login credentials, with different configurations.
Limitations
Collecting data from Twitter Engagements comes with the following limitations:

You cannot use the Management API to collect data from Twitter Engagements.

Twitter Engagements data extracts cannot be included in Bundle datastreams.
Prerequisites
Before you start collecting data from Twitter Engagements, perform all of the following actions:
The Twitter Engagements API is a premium endpoint which needs to be enabled and configured before you can collect data. Contact your Adverity account manager to request the configuration of Twitter Engagements. For more details on the API, see the Twitter documentation.
Creating a datastream using Twitter Engagements
Connecting to Twitter Engagements
To connect to Twitter Engagements, follow these steps:

Select the workspace you work with in Adverity and then, in the , click Datastreams.

In the top right corner, click + Create datastream.

Search for and click Twitter Engagements.

Choose one of the following options:

Click Setup a new and set up the new with your own login credentials.

Click Send an access request to ask someone else to set up the new . In the Email field, enter the email address of the person you want to ask to authorize the new .

If you already have an Twitter Engagements, choose an existing .

Click Next.
Choosing what data to collect
To choose what data to collect and customize the Twitter Engagements datastream configuration, follow these steps:

Click Custom configuration.

Click Next.

(Optional) Rename your datastream.

In Granularity, select either daily or hourly granularity of data.

In Dimensions and Metrics, change the list of fields that you want to see in your data extract.

In Slack, enter an age limit for the tweet in the number of days. Any tweets older than this age limit will not be collected in the data fetch.

Click Next.
Choosing where to transfer your data
To choose where to transfer your data, follow these steps:

To assign destinations to your datastream, select their checkboxes. For more information on destinations and their configuration settings, see Introduction to transferring data.

Click Next.
Collecting initial data
To collect the initial data, follow these steps:

Choose the time period for which data is collected.

Click Run fetch.
Previewing data collected from Twitter Engagements
The fetch collects data from Twitter Engagements which takes some time. The Overview page of the newly created datastream is now displayed. To preview the collected data, follow these steps:

In the All tasks tab, find the task at the top of the list, and click
Show extracts.

Click the top hyperlink.

The data extract is displayed in a table containing the data that you have fetched.
